We are really in need of help from everyone out there who has a spare kennel, DDB Welfare have taken in 5 DDB in the past few weeks and we need your help. I have three rescue DDB in my own kennel now and could not take anymore.

I cannot give my individual attention to all of these rescues and have a dog who is need of specialist treatment for his skin 'Bruce', another Tye who is recovering well but still needs trips to the vet and care for his skin, Fizzy and Romany are both been taken in by DDB Welfare foster carers Verity and Jennifer, but we have one male who is an adult with a BIG Attitude!! He is very dominent and because of this he needs some really good training and assesment. I am not qualified for this so I wanted to put him on an intesive training course with an excellent trainer here in the North East. The problem is he does not come cheap. The cost of this three week programme is 250, and as this is not my money I wanted to put it to everyone and hoped they backed me up as I believe every dog deserves a chance. The bill will be paid by everyones donations which we have recieved since the start of DDB Welfare which is why I am asking if anyone would have any objections?
He has only been with me a day and he was not fazed in any way in entering my own kennel with many of my own adult males. He really has been shown no boundries and this would have to be a must before re -homing him. Hopefully he will be fostered by a great couple in Scotland until after the new year where he will be returned to the North East to begin his training.
Please let me know all your feelings on this.
Bev

yes Bev, we think its a great idea...i'm sure once he's trained he will make a great pet for somebody. Surely this too should come under welfare, just because he has no physical illness doesn't mean he shouldn't get the help to give him another chance good luck

Thanks to you both for your comments. We managed to get a foster home for him in Scotland with Janet and Angela who as well as owning Bull Mastiff and DDB they now have a boarding kennel. They took Choppa and are having him neutered at their vets which we will pay for. We may also have a home for him and the guy said that he will pay to have him trained so it looks like it will be a happy ending all round for Choppa.

Bruce goes to the specialist about his skin in January and Tye is also doing well.
Fizzy is off on her xmas hols with Verity and Romany is also doing well with Jennifer in her foster home.
